Most recently at Google Cloud, Pete was the Global Director for GTM Strategy. In this role, Pete was accountable and responsible Google Cloud’s annual Strategic Go-to-Market Planning process and establishing the first-ever Product-GTM Lifecycle for Google Workspace and other Productivity & Collab Solutions (3B+ users, 10M+ paying customers). The role has a broad scope of responsibilities including the delivery of Annual GTM Strategy interlocked with the Product team and Global Sales Regions, as well as driving Product Roadmap prioritization via data-driven market input.
Prior to Google, Pete was an early employee at VMware where annual revenue grew over a decade from $50 Million to $5+ Billion. During this time Pete built and managed several businesses and held a variety of executive roles including Product Marketing, Sales Enablement, Customer Success, and M&A where he worked on 14+ acquisitions.
Prior to VMware, Pete worked at DoubleClick (now Google) and Accenture and co-founded companies in the areas of B2B2C channel marketing and online learning.
Throughout his 30+ year career, Pete held nearly every role within a software company, including software development, product management, product marketing, and sales. This experience provides Pete with a unique “systems thinking” perspective on building businesses and teams.
